Self -esteem is very important! It’s the reason why you make the choices to wear what you wear. Some women don’t even realize they have low self-esteem. If you never feel good in your clothes, or you avoid looking at yourself in mirrors-you have self esteem issues. Even if you plan on losing wait you must love yourself-the weight will go, but the love should stay! Love yourself from the inside out and trust me…no body will be able to put you down effectively! If you don’t love you- it’ll be difficult for someone else to love you! Solange was just recently spotted out on the town with a totally new look. She chopped all her hair off! Wonder what brought her to this decision?  She doesn’t want to spend her money, time or energy in the salon. I totally understand and feel where she’s coming from! I rock a super short cut when I want to. I can’t stand going to the salon! I do believe that people put too much emphasis on hair. Not to mention all the time and money spent…it’s draining. I love the look! Having short hair is freeing, trust me I know first hand…LOL! That’s exactly why I like Solange, she does her. This past weekend was the celebration of Mandela Day @ Radio City Music Hall. Many came out to show their love for Nelson Mandela and all of his amazing achievements! Lil’ Kim and Cindi Lauper collaborated to perform the famous hit song Time after Time. I must say this time Kim actually looked decent! In my opinion, she never needed any plastic surgery but since she took it all the way there…let’s hope there will be no more procedures.

 Although their performance was terrible, Lil’ Kim looked pretty in a peach colored gown with pearls scattered on it. We all know Cindi Lauper’s style…LOL! On the red carpet at the step and repeat Kim looked even better with an embellished bustier sprinkled with a few huge rhinestones and a black mini! All she needed to do was tone down the make up and wear nice clothes…she looks pretty good! Keep rocking your MAC just like this Kim, nothing more

A key item that should be in every women’s handbag is a bottle of lotion. I don’t care if you’re white, black or brown…you need lotion! Being ashy is never sexy and it ruins your entire look. Yes, we know you apply lotion over your entire body after showering…but everyone needs to re-apply a few times a day! Plus, think about the number of times you wash your hands a day. Ladies, ladies, ladies let’s get that ash in check! Hands, elbows, legs, feet and every other part of your body should be moisturized! Should I even mention lips? Carmex, lip gloss, whatever you like but no body’s lips should ever look like Pookie from New Jack City…moisturize that ash:-)

Actress, model and fashion designer Sienna Miller has me asking myself a question…would I ever wear denim leggings? Sienna, known for rocking the latest trends-was spotted in Australia wearing these denim stretchies. She looks a little loungy like it’s just a chill day for her. I personally would lose the shoes she’s wearing with them but other than that the look is ok! Then again…I’m on the fence about the leggings although they remind me of skinny, skinny jeans. If I wore them I would go with a casual look and put my own style stamp on it! I won’t say no yet…because I’ve done that in the past and ended up following the trend. If I do purchase a pair of denim leggings I will take pics and post them showing you all what I wore them with. Until next time…stay fabulous!

Our girl Rihanna was spotted with a new do yesterday…it’s a mohawk! I’m not surprised at all- I love it! Although… I do believe that RiRi is the only person that can and should have this haircut. Her style stands alone and she always knows exactly what to wear. I know a few ladies will try to pull this look off and they will fail, LOL! I’ve cut my hair extremely close but I would never shave the sides of my head…not for me! RiRi keep doing your thing and continue being fabulous…we’re watching;-)

Ciara has been getting her campaign on! She as well as a few other celebs have been putting the word out about the dangers of text messaging and drunk driving. Now, I can’t sit here and say I’ve never texted while driving because I have! It’s dangerous and it’s something that I don’t do anymore. I especially don’t drive drunk…that’s a NO NO! I encourage everyone else to focus on the road while driving and TXT L8TR (text later)! I Love the fact that celebs are behind this and Ciara you know I love the Louboutins:-) Safety is fabulous!

My girl Amy Winehouse was just recently spotted leaving the Caribbean Island of St.Lucia. Amy had been in St.Lucia for about 8 months, just trying to get it together! It’s summertime and we all love to wear sandals, flip flops and anything that lets our feet breath!

It’s a nice sunny day…you throw on a nice sun dress and stylish flat sandals because you’re gonna do lots of walking. It’s burning up and you’re in the city walking store to store. A huge city bus rides by adding more pollution to the air. You finish your shopping and walk to the train station. So, now you’re waiting for your train at the tracks. Your feet start to ache but finally your train arrives! You jump on the train and ride on home. You get home sit on the couch and take your shoes off. Your feet are aching because you’ve been walking all day on flat sandals with no arch support! Your good man comes over to you, takes your shoes off your feet and begins to rub them! He stops, drops your feet and says “have you been walking on tar? Your feet are filthy”! Haahahahaahahaahahaha!

Ladies remember this: Anytime you expose your feet you kick up dust! When you finish your day you must soak your feet, take a shower or a bath! Before you get in the bed or have anyone touch your feet you must wash the city off your feet! I don’t care who you are, or how expensive your sandals may be…anyone can kick up dirt! Soak those feet ladies
