4th of July Weekend in New Orleans

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! Me and a few of my family members went to Louisiana for the weekend. My brother in law was finishing up auditions in New Orleans for his show-The Mike Biv Talent Search!  He also hosted a backyard BBQ with Biz Markie and CoCa Cola, that was cool… but it was 96 degrees!  The city also held The Essence Music Festival, featuring various artists and was from July 3-5. It was the ultimate party weekend for most!  For me, this was my first time in New Orleans and I ended up catching a stomach bug…so I didn’t do too much there

I did get a chance to see Beyonce’ Friday night and she was awesome! The energy in the arena was Bananas! Although this was my 3rd time seeing her perform…she gave yet another superstar performance! Of course Beyonce’- like many artists that performed that weekend gave a heartfelt tribute to Michael Jackson through song. She also showed footage of herself at age 5 getting ready to see Michael Jackson in concert…it was so cute! She rocked the show and I was happy I got to see her that night! Thanks for another great show B!
